| Bio: | Character Personality: Miroku is not what one would consider a holy monk. He loves to grope women when he can and he has a habit of asking countless, random women to bear his child. Other than the obvious reason behind the question, he is intent on reproducing because if he happens to die while attempting to kill Naraku, he would want an heir to finish the job for him.
Apart from being lecherous, Miroku is a kind and otherwise self-controlled individual. He often has to reason with InuYasha to keep him from rushing forward recklessly. His extensive knowledge of youkai - demons - helps them out in battle as well.
He often helps the poor by scamming the wealthiest lords out of their valuables by pretending to exorcise their homes.
Sometimes, he can be quite solemn, as he often worries about his curse that could take his life at any moment. It is his biggest fear and it has been used against him at least a couple of times.
Character Background: Miroku is a traveling monk who often pays rich lords a visit, under the pretense that he is there to exorcise evil spirits from their homes. He makes off with the valuables and sells them to make money for the poor. He is also an unfortunate victim of a terrible curse that has been passed down in his family since his grandfather. The half-demon Naraku cursed Miroku’s grandfather with a void - the wind tunnel which can suck up anything in its path when exposed - in his right hand that slowly grew over time. Miroku’s father was sucked up by his wind tunnel when it had grown too large. Unless Naraku is defeated, Miroku will also one day face the same fate his father did. Miroku keeps his hand sealed up with special prayer beads. The wind tunnel is a powerful weapon as it can suck up hordes of demons without a fight. Unfortunately, Miroku cannot suck up anything poisonous as it will poison his body as well or anything sharp as it will tear his wind tunnel, causing it to grow faster.
Miroku met InuYasha while bathing in a hot spring where Kagome also happened to be bathing in. He sees that she has shards of the Shikon no Tama - The Jewel of Four Souls - while staring at her breasts. Like them, he had been collecting the shards as well and so he plots to ambush them and take the shards that Kagome possesses. With the help of his raccoon-dog demon friend Hachi, Miroku succeeds in taking the shards from Kagome. InuYasha and Kagome soon catch up to him, with InuYasha attacking him, but Miroku uses his wind tunnel in response. Kagome, soon notices that Miroku will not harm humans so she stands in its path to get him to quickly cover it with his prayer beads. Miroku explains his situation, after groping Kagome’s rear end and InuYasha reluctantly allows him to join them.
He continues helping InuYasha and Kagome on their quest to recover the shards of the Shikon no Tama and in their subsequent battles with various demons and Naraku, eventually meeting Sango and her pet Kirara who both join them as well.
